Olympus Trip AF51 in the original box!
The Trip AF 51 was launched in 2002 by Olympus alongside the Trip AF 50 and the fixed focus Trip 500 & Trip 500. These were intended as entry level cameras for developing world markets. It was one of later models in the Trip series of plastic auto focus & fixed focus cameras introduced in the 1980's trading off the classic Olympus Trip 35 name.
The Camera features a glass Olympus 28mm 1:6.3 lens (3 elements in 3 groups) with an autofoucs range of 0.8m to infinity. It has a programmed electronic shutter 1/40-1/140 second and has DX coding (2 settings for 100/200 ISO & 400 ISO). The flash automatically triggers in low light and there is no user override although there is an optional red eye feature. The camera takes 2XAA batteries and features easy loading and auto wind and rewind.
