The Nikon D600 features a 24.3-million effective pixel (24.7-megapixel RAW) full-frame sensor measuring 35.9 mm × 24 mm, powered by Nikon’s EXPEED 3 image processor. It offers a native ISO range from 100 to 6400, adjustable in 1/3 or 1/2 EV steps, and can be extended down to ISO 50 or up to ISO 25600, with auto ISO sensitivity control also available. Autofocus is handled by the Nikon Multi-CAM 4800 module, featuring TTL phase detection, fine-tuning, and 39 focus points, including nine cross-type sensors. Users can select from single-point, continuous AF, dynamic AF, or 3D tracking modes to suit various shooting scenarios. The camera supports multiple image formats, including NEF (RAW) at 12- or 14-bit with lossless compressed or compressed options, JPEG with fine, normal, or basic compression levels, and simultaneous NEF (RAW) + JPEG capture. For video, it offers full HD recording at 1920 × 1080 (1080p) in 30p, 25p, or 24p frame rates, and 1280 × 720 at 60p, 50p, 30p, or 25p, recording in MOV format using H.264/MPEG-4 AVC. Audio is captured in Linear PCM via a built-in mono or external stereo microphone with adjustable sensitivity. The Nikon D600 also includes HDMI output for uncompressed video and supports a maximum movie length of approximately 29 minutes and 59 seconds, depending on frame size and quality settings.
