Nikon MD-E Motor Drive with the original box!
The Nikon MD-E is a compact auto winder for specific Nikon 35mm SLR film cameras, offering automatic single-frame or continuous film advance at approximately 2 frames per second (fps). It was specifically designed for the ultra-compact Nikon EM camera but is also compatible with the Nikon FG and FG-20.
Specifications:
- Function: Provides automatic film advance after each exposure in single-frame mode, or continuous shooting when the camera's shutter button is held down.
- Frame Rate: Approximately 2 frames per second (fps) when used at shutter speeds of 1/90 sec. to 1/1000 sec..
- Compatibility: Exclusively designed for use with the Nikon EM, Nikon FG, and Nikon FG-20 35mm SLR cameras. It attaches to the bottom of the camera via a tripod/motor-drive coupling socket and positioning pin.
- Power Source: Uses six 1.5V AAA-type alkaline-manganese batteries, housed in a built-in chamber.
- Operation Indicators: A red LED pilot lamp on the back lights up each time a shot is taken and glows continuously when the film roll is exhausted, at which point the motor stops automatically.
- Controls: Features an ON/OFF switch and uses the camera's own shutter release button for operation. It does not have a separate shutter release button on the grip itself.
